Miniacina miniacea

Dear taxacomers,

This beauty is a common epiphyte on Posidonia rhizomes and other substrata
in the Aegean. Sometimes it is found in great numbers on the beach
colouring the sand.
Can anybody tell me the distribution of the species ? is the genus monotypic ?

I have recently observed it on a collection from the Bahamas. Is it the
same species ?
