Hybrid Speciation

Dear Taxacomers,

I would like to know the view point of members of the list on consequences
of hybridization and hybrid speciation. Could one speculate origin of a
species on the basis of morphological differences and resemblances or
characters shared by a suspected (or to be described )new species with its
possible  parents.
How could an evidence to such a speculation be provided? Could this evidence
be provided from the geographic distribution (allopatry or sympatry) of the
suspected parents of the new hybridogenous species.
