I am wondering whether anyone can advise me on the durability of
wax paper. In herbaria I have worked in in the US, seeds, leaf fragments
and other small, loose items are generally stored in small envelopes
made from acid-free paper and glued to the herbarium sheet. Here, they
have long been storing such items in bags of wax paper stapled to the
sheet. I do not know enough abouit the chemistry of wax paper to know
whether or not this is a good idea.
