image analysis for taxonomy

I have jsut subsribed to this list and would like to find some
information if possible.

I am involved with image processing for taxonomy in Lepidoptera and
need to discover how much work has been, or is being carried out in
this area.

Any pointers - papers, etc would be most appreciated.
