Isn't the "Wollemi Pine" possibily just a new variety (species if you must) of *Araucaria*, which is native to Australia? Maybe a variety of* A. bidwillii*, especally if the cone scales are not winged. This really doesn't have anything to do with the genus *Pinus*, does it? Best, Fred Rickson
