Warning to Herbaria/Anyone With Lane Plant Dryers!

We have 2 Lane Plant Dryers, purchased about 10 years ago, and
have just discovered that the power cords (that plug into the
electrical socket) are extremely brittle and represent a serious
fire hazard.

An electrician suggested that a heavier gauge cord should be
used.  The cord from Lane is 16 gauge; the electrician suggested
either 14 or 12.

Replacement cords can be purchased from Lane for $20, but they
are still using 16 gauge.
