Phase-Contrast Microscopes

We are purchasing 5 PC microscopes for classroom use. Would like to
know the difference in performance, etc. between sliding
phase-contrast and Zernicke (sp?) phase-contrast. Also, have you had
any experience with Meiji or Nova or Nikon Alphaphoto 2
phase-contrast microscopes? If so, what is good, what is bad? Would
like to know soon. Money will disappear if not spent soon.
