        To fish-gophers and admirers of fish-gopher:


        Along with Beach (thanks Jim), credit too should go to NSF, of which
one program -- Research Collections in Systematics and Ecology -- solicited and
funded the fishgopher project as a demonstration to museums and herbaria of the
relative ease, benefits and low cost of sharing collection data on the
internet.
